Watermelon, ook bekend als Watermelon Kush, is zonder twijfel een van de meest mysterieuze cannabissoorten die er zijn. Zoals het geval was met veel andere "mystery-cuts" uit het verleden zoals de OG Kush, Chemdawg, Cheese, Watermelon is nog een andere. De exacte genetica van Watermelon is niet bekendgemaakt. Er zijn mensen die beweren dat het een zeer "meloen" smakend fenotype is van een beroemde soort LA Confidential. Sommigen beweren ook dat het een afstammeling is van de Assepoester'99 of een Pineapple Express. We zullen waarschijnlijk nooit precies weten welke genetica er echt achter de Watermelon cannabissoort zit, maar alles wat we weten is dat deze soort gewoon geweldig is en is gebruikt in veel nieuwe Amerikaanse exotische soorten zoals Watermelon Zkittlez, Watermelon OG of Watermelon Gelato. De overweldigende frisse, sappige watermeloenaroma's zijn altijd traceerbaar in een van de watermeloenkruisen die er zijn.

 Wat zeker bekend is, is dat Watermelon een indica dominante hybride is, die meer naar de indica-kant van de dingen neigt vanwege haar nogal kalmerende en lichaamseffecten. Ook de productie en de grootte van de toppen zijn een duidelijke indicatie dat Watermeloen een indica dominante hybride is. De kracht in de groeifase is echt opmerkelijk en je kunt echt grote, brede planten verwachten. Watermeloen is vooral geschikt voor grotere tuinen, of voor die mensen die de grootte kunnen beheren via de LST en topping technieken. Outdoor Watermeloen gedijt tot enorme afmetingen van zelfs 3 meter. De meeste van onze watermeloenfenotypen leveren altijd verbazingwekkend goed op in vergelijking met andere soorten. De smaak en het aroma vullen elkaar mooi aan, of zijn misschien ook wel verantwoordelijk voor de uitgesproken euforische indica-effecten van de Watermeloen. Dit is een zeer gewilde factor onder de cannabisliefhebbers.
